We are seeking a highly skilled Network and Security Engineer with experience in Operational Technology (OT) standards to join our dynamic and fast-paced environment in the pharmaceutical/vaccine manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in securing and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring compliance with industry-specific OT security frameworks, and working closely with a global team to meet and maintain security standards.
Responsibilities;
- Network & Security Management:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and reliable network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs, and cloud networking.
- Ensure high availability, redundancy, and performance of network security systems.
- Monitor, detect, and respond to network security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Operational Technology (OT) Security:
- Implement and maintain OT security standards such as ISA/IEC 62443, NIST, and GxP compliance for pharmaceutical manufacturing and supply chain environments.
- Secure industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, and IoT devices against cyber threats.
- Work closely with OT and IT teams to integrate cybersecurity best practices within production environments.
- Global Collaboration & Compliance:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including global IT security, compliance, and engineering teams, to align security policies with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure adherence to industry regulations (e.g., FDA, GDPR, HIPAA) and internal cybersecurity policies.
- Conduct risk assessments, audits, and security awareness training.
- Incident Response & Continuous Improvement:
- Respond to security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve security strategies, tools, and automation to enhance threat detection and response.
- Keep up to date with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in OT security.
Qualifications;
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in network and security engineering, preferably in pharmaceutical or manufacturing industries.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of OT security standards (ISA/IEC 62443, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, GAMP).
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint security, and industrial network security solutions.
- Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or other network security appliances.
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and Zero Trust architecture.
- Knowledge of ICS/SCADA, industrial protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPC UA), and their security implications.
- Soft Skills & Work Environment:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in a global team and collaborating across time zones.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to security challenges.
Preferred Qualifications;
- CISSP, CISM, or equivalent cybersecurity certification.
- Cisco CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Fortinet NSE certifications.
- ISA/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity Specialist certification.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience.
