The BACB is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team. The successful candidate meets the required education and experience but also enjoys:

The ideal candidate is Azure certified, but it is not a requirement. The BACB offers professional development and would support the successful candidate in obtaining Azure certification.
Position Summary: The Network Engineer is part of the Information Technology team, with the primary responsible of managing and optimizing our cloud and network environments to support the business needs. This role requires expertise in modern cloud infrastructure and network management, with a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and cybersecurity best practices. Experience with Microsoft Azure is highly desired, as the role involves maintaining our Azure environments, implementing new systems and automations, and making recommendations aligned with industry best practices.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $92,100 with a $5,000 sign-on bonus after successful completion of 90 days of employment.

Requirements
- Administer Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID, maintaining secure and efficient access management.
- Architect, administer, and troubleshoot cloud networks and hosted systems, with a strong preference for Azure experience.
- Uphold and enhance systems and network security standards.
- Implement systems automation to enhance operational efficiency.
- Provide training to other team members on cloud technologies and best practices, with a focus on Microsoft environments.
- Create documentation for troubleshooting cloud environments, including Azure where applicable.
- Design and implement disaster recovery solutions and regularly test them to ensure business continuity.
- Oversee the daily backup of cloud environments and regularly test backup solutions to ensure quick recovery when needed.
- Monitor and analyze cloud resource utilization, planning and executing capacity upgrades as required.
- Lead the management and maintenance of assigned cloud environments, with a strong preference for Azure experience.
- Stay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies. Propose and implement enhancements to improve performance, reliability, and security.
- Build and maintain infrastructure, application, and data flow diagrams for cloud environments, including Azure where applicable.
- Consistently perform upgrades, updates, and maintenance for cloud environments to guarantee optimal performance.
- Ensure all cloud solutions adhere to enterprise-wide security and compliance controls, regularly auditing and reviewing to enforce these policies.

Experience and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience network design and support, including business-grade switches, firewalls, wireless systems, & routers.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with various security solutions including EDR, MDR, IPS/IDS, & other threat monitoring technologies.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with multiple Microsoft technologies, including Azure, Entra, Exchange, Intune, Microsoft365, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience of advanced virtualization experience (preferably in HyperV).
- Demonstratable experience in Azure cloud-based technologies.
- Certifications strongly preferred: MCSE, CISSP, AZ-104, MS-102
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and video conferencing.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, the ability to lift and carry a laptop, lift files, open filing cabinets, frequently type, bend and reach as necessary is essential to the position.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a regular in-person full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening, holidays, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Campus Wellness: The BACB is a tobacco free work environment. The consumption of tobacco products is not allowed on BACB property.
Travel: Minimal travel is expected for this position.
