Senior Engineer, Cybersecurity, Pune

NIQ is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity engineering, encompassing network security, endpoint security, and vulnerability management. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of hands-on implementation experience across diverse cybersecurity domains, demonstrating both technical expertise and strategic insight.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and solutions.
• Provide support for endpoint software issues, including EDR, AV, and SWG.
• Establish, manage, and maintain department KPIs and KRIs to ensure effective performance and risk management.
• Create and deliver PowerPoint presentations for department updates and business cases.
• Identify and communicate cyber risks, particularly when control gaps are present.
• Innovate solutions by applying advanced cybersecurity concepts and methodologies.
• Plan and complete assignments, resolving conflicts independently.
• Guide, coach, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment
• Strive to reduce complexity and create clarity in cybersecurity processes.
• Work autonomously to design technical solutions and identify risks.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of technical experience in cybersecurity engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of endpoint security tools (e.g., EDR, AV, SWG), their operation, and their role in defense-in-depth; experience with Defender for Endpoint, Zscaler, or SentinelOne is a plus.
• Complete understanding of the OSI model and IP networking is required.
• Broad knowledge of various cybersecurity domains.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
• Demonstrated mastery of cybersecurity concepts and hands-on implementation.
• Ability to understand and effectively communicate cyber risks.
• A strong command of spoken and written English, to facilitate communications with our global workforce.
• Experience in designing technical solutions and working autonomously.
