About the Role

As a Technical Incident Response Intern, you will join our growing Technical Incident Response team to learn the fundamentals of incident management and support our efforts to improve readiness, response, and learning across the organization.

This internship is designed to provide you with a hands-on, immersive experience in incident response and operational excellence. You’ll work closely with experienced incident coordinators and engineering teams, building a strong foundation in the processes and tools that keep critical systems running smoothly. It is important to note that while a part of an Incident Response team you will not be expected to be on call however will learn the basics of what this entails through team interactions. 

This role is structured as a 3 month engagement. The starting hourly rate offered for this role and target level of experience will begin at $34 and up to $49. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Assist with Incident Documentation: Help create detailed incident records by capturing timelines, key decisions, and outcomes during response activities.
  • Support Incident Communication: Play an active role in managing communication channels during low-complexity incidents, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Participate in Post-Incident Reviews: Observe and learn from reviews of incidents, gaining insights into contributing factors, corrective actions, and the broader impact on systems and processes.
  • Learn and Use Incident Tools: Familiarize yourself with tools like monitoring dashboards, incident management systems, and documentation platforms to better understand and contribute to incident workflows.

To thrive in this role, you:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree 
  • Creative thinker and self starter with a passion for consumer FinTech
  • Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Curious and eager to understand complex systems: You’re excited to learn how technical systems work and how incidents are managed and resolved.
