Manager, Data Center Security Operations Australia

The physical security operations team is the primary interface with all clients, and ensures that client needs and expectations are met with high quality, industry standard programs and services. Oracle is now looking for a senior security professional to join our team. Oracle utilizes internal owned data center locations and third-party external data centers managed by co-location service providers. This position will be responsible for the leadership and development of teams, products and services within the Global Physical Security (GPS) operations line of business, with specialized functional expertise in the area of data center operational security, guard force management, crisis management programs, risk assessments, incident response and investigations. The qualified candidate will report directly to the Director, Global Data Center Security Operations & Systems, who is based in the USA. This is a new position with an Australia remit. Periodic regional and global travel will be required. This is an individual contributor (IC) role and the position has no direct reports but will have oversight of contracted security staff in the Australia region.

Provide regional operational direction and oversight so that the GPS strategic initiatives in relation to the data center operational security program are implemented consistently. These include but not limited to:

• Security guard force management at both internal and external data center locations.
• Partnership with Oracle Lines of Business and external audit regulatory bodies to ensure physical security compliance with diverse auditory requirements including but not limited to SSAE 18, ISO, and PCI.
• Incident response
• Crisis Management
• Customer Service-providing quality advice to Oracle employees on all aspects of Physical Security as it applies to data center security

Working with 3rd party security service providers maintains global oversight for the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber security guard force staff. 

• Maintains recognized industry standard physical security best practices by ensuring a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; ensures that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
• Prepare and manage the regional data center security operations program budget.
• Performs additional functions as directed by the Director GPS Global Data Center Security Operations & Systems as necessary in order to achieve assigned business objectives. 
• The Manager, Data Center Security Operations Australia scope of responsibility will be regional in nature.
• Decision impact is high and degree of direct supervision is minimal. This is a Manager level position with a high degree of responsibility and operational impact on the business function. The qualified candidate will report directly to the GPS Director, Global Data Center Security Operations & Systems, who is based in the USA, and function under limited supervision.
