As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in integrating security practices into our DevOps processes. You will be responsible for helping build up our CICD pipelines and our future cloud infrastructure on AWS to scale out for the rest of the organisation. This role will build the new chapter and work with our Agile delivery and architecture teams on a transition roadmap. 

The role will focus on providing technical expertise, steering the technology capability, and bringing in industry standards and innovation. 

You will be responsible for the following:

• Creating and building out a roadmap for technology CICD and infrastructure modernisation including the development of a DevSecOps Maturity Assessment.
• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Bamboo, Terraform, Bitbucket, Nexus OSS, SonarQube, Veracode, HashiCorp Vault, Azure DevOps and Prisma Container Security.
• Building Zurich’s cloud foundations and roadmap.
• Provision, configure, and monitor AWS infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services such as ECS, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, Redis, etc.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application development, deployment, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices using tools such as SonarQube, Veracode and Prisma Container Security.
• Continuous improvement and excellence; recruiting, developing an engineering-first mindset. 
• Continuous improvement and excellence; developing, delivering, and evaluating new technologies aligning to technology and business strategy.
• Training and mentoring of staff in secure coding practices, Cloud Engineering, Architecture and DevSecOps practices.
• Document and maintain technical specifications, processes, and procedures.
   

Important to your success - Unlock your potential

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a DevSecOps Engineer, Security Engineer, or similar role.  
• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools, principles, and practices.
• Proven examples of designing and building enterprise Cloud infrastructure. 
• Experience designing and building complex CICD pipelines across multiple technologies and deployment infrastructure. 
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and their security features. Terraform, CloudFormation, python, bash experience would be beneficial.
• Experience in multiple CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps and Bamboo.
• Experience in automating end-to-end development and delivery processes, including code quality, security and test scenarios.     
• Hands-on development, squad enablement, with Platform Engineering experience at an Enterprise Scale.
• Successful record of managing distributed resources and partners (both offshore & onshore).
• Ability to align a technology roadmap to business strategy.
