Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security, the Senior Cyber Security Analyst plays a key role in safeguarding the organization's assets from unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. The Senior Cyber Security Analyst will not only respond to and manage security incidents but also contribute to the enhancement and modernization of IT security policies and standards. As a senior member of the team, this role will serve as a point of escalation for junior and peer analysts, ensuring swift resolution of security threats.
This is a hybrid role, based out of the Cineplex Head Office at 1303 Yonge St, Toronto.
Key Responsibilities
- Efficiently triage security incidents, assessing business impact and urgency to prioritize responses for the most critical threats.
- Respond promptly to active security incidents, mitigating risks and minimizing downtime.
- Continuously analyze current and past security incidents to enhance the knowledge base, refine business processes, improve training programs, and strengthen application security.
- Communicate effectively with technology stakeholders about platform changes that may affect regular operations.
- Oversee internal and third-party information security audits, ensuring compliance and identifying areas for improvement.
- Lead and support the implementation of technological upgrades and significant security changes to maintain a robust security posture.
- Promote security awareness and effectively communicate information security goals and new initiatives to department managers across the organization.
- Escalate security issues in a timely and appropriate manner, ensuring operational stability and risk mitigation.
Key Qualifications
- A university or college degree in IT security or a related field is required.
- Strong knowledge of PCI standards and IT General Controls (ITGC).
- Proactive mindset with excellent interpersonal, customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to balance ongoing projects with daily security operations.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to methodically resolve technical security issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Professional certifications in IT security, such as CISSP, CCSP, CRISC, CISA, GCIH, or GCFA, are considered an asset.
