What can you expect in a Information Security Engineer role with TaskUs:

Think of yourself as someone who is responsible for performing audits, vulnerability assessments, security testing, and working with operations teams on remediation and mitigation of audit findings. You will be incharge of the security system deployments, configuration, monitoring and reporting. You will also be handling the implementation, maintenance, and integration of security controls of the corporate WAN, LAN and server architecture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for implementation and administration of endpoint and network security appliances, hardware and software, enforcing the TaskUs security policies and complying with requirements of external security audits and recommendations.
• Maintain, configure, and analyze network and host-based security platforms
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and investigate security-related, information systems anomalies based on security platform reporting, network traffic, log files, host-based and automated security alerts.
• Evaluate systems using vulnerability scanners and manual techniques to verify system security settings and configurations.
• Provide reporting from network and host-based security solutions.
• Provide Incident Response support as needed in response to information security related events.
• Participate in DRP exercises and continuous improvement processes.
• Maintain and update relevant system and process documentation and develop ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Assist the development of security tool requirements, trials, and evaluations, as well as security operations procedures and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years IT experience; at least 3 of those years focused on IT security.
• Preferably with information security certification such as CISSP, SSCP , CCIE or CEH.
• Hands-on experience in vulnerability scanning, firewall, antivirus & malware analysis, endpoint encryption, proxies, IDS/IPS, log correlation tools, SIEM, DLP, NAC, and WAF is a must.
• Technical writing, documentation, and communication skills are required.
• Comfortable working on both Linux-based and MS Windows-based system platforms with a strong IT technical understanding and aptitude for analytical problem-solving.
• Strong understanding of enterprise, network, system and application level security issues.
• Understanding of enterprise computing environments, distributed applications, and TCP/IP networks.
• Understanding of the system hardening processes, tools, guidelines and benchmarks is a must. BPO contact center experience preferred, but not required.

Education / Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in MIS/Computer Science or a combination of education and experience.
