IT Internal Audit Director

YOUR ROLE

  • The Information Technology (IT) Internal Audit Director will serve as a member of the Genworth Corporate Audit Services (GCAS) Leadership Team
  • This position will report administratively to Genworth’s Chief Audit Executive (CAE)
  • Limited travel may be required

What you will be doing

The IT Internal Audit Director will oversee the planning, execution and reporting of the Genworth IT Internal Audit program. Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct risk assessment activities to develop and maintain an independent, objective and risk-based IT Audit Plan including assurance and advisory engagements
  • Build and lead a talented, engaged team of IT Internal Auditors
  • Direct the planning, execution and reporting of IT assurance and advisory engagements
  • Establish best in class IT audit approaches and methodologies
  • Ensure timely, high-quality assurance and advisory engagement results and associated documentation that conforms with Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards
  • Present IT Internal Audit results to key stakeholders including Genworth Senior Leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, third-party suppliers and external auditors
  • Maintain current knowledge of technology and other matters that impact Genworth

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, technology, accounting or another applicable field
  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience, preferably within the financial services industry - Other industries are acceptable, provided that the candidate possesses appropriate skills for the position
  • Internal and/or external IT audit or risk management experience
  • Demonstrated functional knowledge of risk assessments, internal controls and related technical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management
  • Strong critical thinking, project management and relationship management capabilities
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and/or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certifications are preferred - Will consider other certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), etc.
