Position Overview:
We seek a motivated and self-driven Firewall Security Engineer interested in joining our global network infrastructure team. As a Firewall Security Engineer, you will support the overall health and security of the network infrastructure within Insulet to reduce risk, ensure stability, and accommodate growth. This position will report to the Manager of Global Networks and work closely with the Network Infrastructure and Cyber Security teams.
This role covers the global firewall infrastructure, including security policies, optimization, upgrades, compliance, and secure remote access. You will be part of a dynamic Network Infrastructure team responsible for designing and supporting all worldwide firewalls and services and connecting our operations across the globe.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure firewalls and related infrastructure are up to date.
- Configure and manage all firewalls and other network security enforcement points with best practices.
- Ensure firewalls and related systems are configured to meet regulatory requirements.
- Document and implement secure configurations.
- Implement firewall policy changes according to Change Management and procedures.
- Participate in and make recommendations for penetration test remediation.
- Perform any additional duties deemed necessary by the Manager, Global Networks, Principal Network Engineer, Cyber Security, and Network Security Engineer.
- Help with the development and implementation of global security technology roadmaps.
- Support disaster recovery and BCP initiatives.
Education and Experience:
- Up to 2 years of experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls, services, and Panorama.
- Palo Alto Networks certification preferred.
- Experience with Palo Alto Network virtual machine firewalls with VMware, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Cisco switching is a plus.
- Must have a strong ability to work with confidential information.
Skills/Competencies:
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to follow incidents to their conclusion.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with a global team.
- Ability to react to high-pressure and ever-changing environments.
- An interest in information security and a desire to learn and grow.
- Awareness of information security and IT risk management principles.
- Create or update a knowledge base, design, or Run Book documentation.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift and rack networking equipment.
- Must be able to lift to 30 pounds.
- Domestic and Global travel required – up to 20%.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $74,100.00 - $111,150.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
