Technical Policy Analyst

The Opportunity:

When our country’s cyber security is on the line, simply reacting is not enough—we need a plan. That’s why we need you, a Technical Policy Analyst with the expertise required to analyze the policies that determine our cyber resilience.

As a cyber strategic planning consultant on our team, you’ll lead the assessment of your client's current cyber policies, the coverage of those policies, and areas of risk. You’ll evaluate how policies stack up to regulations, best practices, and industry standards. As you guide your client through understanding acceptable risk and availability, you’ll advance the development of a strategic cyber roadmap. You’ll work in a consultative role to ensure the client operates securely as they navigate an evolving IT environment. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required.

You Have: 

  • Experience with cybersecurity

  • Experience assessing requirements sets for completeness, comprehensiveness, uniqueness, feasibility, necessity, singularity, validity, and clarity

  • Experience as a key point of contact for a technical workstream, field, manage, and respond to written and verbal inquiries related to that workstream

  • Experience with CDM solutions and scope

  • Ability to come up to speed rapidly and translate technical cyber components for various stakeholder levels of understanding 

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements 

  • HS diploma or GED 

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience working with cybersecurity or engineering teams 

  • Ability to manage complex stakeholder environments to ensure buy-in and unity of approach and deconstruct technical policies and requirements into actionable paths, and summaries

  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills 

  • Bachelor's degree

  • CISSP, Security+, CEH, or other related Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
