Job description:

Position reports to:  IT & Digital Manager

Grade: 17                                                                                                                           

Direct reports: IT Asset Analyst                                                                 

Purpose

The Office of IT lead oversees the strategic direction and operational management of IT commercials while ensuring compliance with governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks. The individual develops and enforces IT policies, procédures and standards. The individual will work closely with group Information Security and Service delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee IT budgets, including capital and operational expenditures, ensuring financial accountability and transparency
  • Support software and hardware license and asset management
  • Manage vendor contracts and IT procurement
  • Collaborates with regional and group IT commercials
  • Perform regular risk assessments and audits of IT systems
  • Collaborate with Group information Security to develop risk management strategies and processes
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Communicate and report on compliance issues to management
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (ICTAZ, ZICTA, Data Protection Act, etc.) by establishing and maintaining effective governance frameworks
  • Coordinate with Service Desk to review ticket categorization, prioritization, feedback and follow up the resolution as per SLAs
  •  Supports the training and educating of staff about cybersecurity and compliance requirements
  • Conducting regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas of improvement
  • Collaborate with Group Information Security team in creating and presenting reports on IT governance, risk, and compliance
  • Working closely with other departments, such as legal and finance, to ensure site-wide IT compliance
  • Addressing any data privacy breaches and compliance violations and implementing corrective actions
  • Create and enforce IT policies and procedures that support compliance and risk management initiatives.
  • Coordinate with group and regional information security teams to drive cybersecurity program onsite
  • Conduct training sessions to promote awareness of GRC policies and best practices among staff.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree computer science, information systems or business administration

Experience

  • 10+ years in IT management, with a focus on commercial operations and GRC Familiar with ITIL framework
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL) are highly desirable.
  • Experience working with ERP systems e.g. Pronto ERP System
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity principles, and compliance frameworks
  • Member of ICTAZ or EIZ
