Sr. Conference Program Manager | Human Firewall Conference

We're seeking a Senior Event Manager to elevate our flagship, Human Firewall Conference, and drive its future growth. This is your opportunity to shape the evolution of the conference, craft fresh, innovative strategies, and secure its position as the premier Cybersecurity Event in Europe. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing and conducting large-scale events (2000+ attendees) You’ll be well-versed at building a strong conference brand, cultivating a vibrant event community, and leaving a lasting impact. Your Tasks

• Craft a comprehensive strategy that defines the event’s theme, long-term vision, objectives, and KPIs.

• Take charge of the strategic planning and implement process, ensuring the event aligns with broader conference goals and is delivered successfully, on time, and within budget. 

• Work closely with internal teams (Brand, Product Marketing, Field, Sales) to co-create the event agenda, refine themes, curate speaker tracks, and plan workshops that engage our audience and meet business objectives. 

• Ensure the event strategy is tightly aligned with business objectives, keeping key stakeholders regularly updated on progress, risks, and outcomes. 

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and conduct a targeted promotional campaign, maximising influence across digital, social, and offline channels to ensure the event gains the visibility it deserves. 

• Take full ownership of the event budget, ensuring cost-efficiency while optimising revenue opportunities and maintaining the highest quality standards. 

• Handle relationships with key vendors, negotiate contracts, and secure sponsorships to help the event’s financial goals and enhance its value proposition. 

• Conduct a thorough post-event analysis, gather feedback, assess performance, and track key metrics (e.g., NPS scores) to inform future event improvements. 

• Develop and implement a strategy to transition the event online, ensuring virtual engagement is as smooth as the in-person experience. Capture key moments to create lasting content and drive post-event engagement. 

Your profile

• 8+ years of event management experience, with a strong track record in organising large-scale, high-profile events (2000+ attendees) in either B2B and B2C settings. We’re looking for someone who knows how to build and foster event communities. 

• Significant experience handling flagship events, from concept to completion, ensuring the highest standards and measurable outcomes. 

• Proven experience handling event budgets, negotiating contracts, and overseeing logistics for large-scale events. 

• Strong project management and organisational experience, with the aptitude to juggle priorities, maintain tight timelines, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously. 

• A natural collaborator—someone who excels in team environments and fosters seamless collaboration across diverse teams. 

• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, with the experience to engage and build relationships with senior executives, customers, and partners. 

• A creative problem-solver who thrives under pressure and adapts rapidly to changing circumstances with a positive, can-do attitude. 

• Fluency in English is required, with a strong preference for candidates who are also fluent in German.
