Job Description & Summary

Cyber Security is a hot topic in all business fields: banking, insurance, gaming, manufacturing, retail, distribution and many more. Cyber threats hit more than a few entities in Malta, some of them effectively damaging operations along with significant costs or financial losses.

We are currently seeking an Senior Offensive Security Consultant to join our Cyber Security & Privacy team, focused on delivering a wide range of cyber services to local and international clients. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop his or her career in the field of Cyber Security and the Offensive Security domain within a professional environment.

Your Mission

Your career with PwC is what you make it to be. This role will include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Acting as a technical point of contact for clients, fostering and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring client communication throughout the course of engagements and projects.

  • Perform and lead advanced red teaming (including thread-led penetration tests), penetration testing (infrastructure and web applications), vulnerability assessments, and social engineering exercises (online and physical).

  • Develop and maintain attack plans based on frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, emulating advanced persistent threat (APT) actors.

  • Drafting high quality reports detailing findings in comprehensive details, addressable to both technical and business audiences.

  • Perform and participate in threat assessments, scenario risk assessments, as well as threat intelligence gathering and reporting.

  • Improve our internal capabilities by developing bespoke tools and scripts, maintaining open-source and commercial products, as well overseeing the overall maintaining of our lab environment.

  • Reviewing existing methodologies, processes, and documentation repositories, identifying areas for improvement.

  • Act as a mentor for other team members, assisting them with their growth journey in the team.

About You

Suitable candidates would ideally be in possession of a first degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security or other similar fields, as well as in possession of related industry certifications such as OSCP/OSEP, OSWA/OSWE, CPTS, BSCP, RTO, etc. 

The ideal candidate would also:

  • Preferably have around 5 years of experience in cyber security, with at least 2 years of practical experience with ethical hacking techniques, tools, and methodologies.

  • Be highly motivated to learn new skills and broaden cyber security expertise.

  • Be willing to undergo formal training and certifications to expand knowledge and skill sets.

  • Enjoy meeting people and being a good team-player.

  • Have strong time management skills, including flexibility to work with shifting priorities and client needs.

  • Value and practice high standards of ethical behaviour and professionalism.
