The Information Security Analyst – Cloud position reports to the Director of Information Security and plays a critical role in the enablement of the business information security management system and cloud protection systems.  The Information Security Analyst - Cloud works closely with the Director, IT and business stakeholders to develop and implement tactical information security improvements that protects and services business units.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Monitor and respond to security threats within business systems, focusing on cloud security (IaaS, PaaS).
  • Conduct threat hunting, investigations, and provide incident response across cloud environments.
  • Improve and refine incident response processes (IRPs) and enhance detection/protection abilities of security toolsets.
  • Manage and refine security incident response service standards (MTTD/MTTR) and improve documented processes (SOPs).
  • Oversee cybersecurity awareness programs and manage knowledge base for security-related information.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to improve SecOps processes and incident response capabilities.
  • Administer and implement cloud security toolsets, including CSPM, CNAP, CIEM, XDR, WAF, and others.
  • Participate in offensive security activities, such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
  • Provide consultation on security system exemptions and risk management for security-related requests.
  • Deliver information security services for business and IT projects, especially impacting cloud security.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance technical documentation, including how-to guides and configuration documents.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • 5-8 years’ experience in cloud technology, with 3-5 years in Information Security.
  • Experience identifying, escalating, and responding to security incidents.
  • Proficient with security toolsets (CSPM, CNAP, CIEM, XDR, WAF) and cloud networking.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure management and troubleshooting, especially in cloud-native environments.
  • Certifications such as CCSP, CISSP, or other information security credentials are an asset.
  • Experience with Checkpoint and Azure environments is an asset, additional certifications with Checkpoint and Azure would be beneficial.
