About our team

 

Welcome to the Programming Framework and SecDevOps team. We build, develop and operate a significant part of the developer tools in Nordea. We are also responsible for tools related to secure developer, IDEs, languages and QA engineering. We provide tools to the entire bank at scale and are responsible for the day-to-day and the long-term development of these tools. Because of this we have a large contact surface across technology.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

As a leader you are expected to deliver excellence though your team. The team is staffed with lots of experience and knowledge. As the leader it will be your role to ensure that the deliveries are aligned to our overall strategy. You will also be a key part in our quarterly planning, where you will align and prioritize withing the unit and with all our stakeholders. On top of this you are the HR responsible for the team and will help set targets for the team members and help them grow.

 

Main responsibilities in this role:

  • Lead the team effectively
  • Be the main contact point for escalations, priorities, quarterly plannings etc.
  • Help building the roadmap for the development the central QA platforms (LoadRunner, Qtest etc.) together with the QA community
  • Help manage IDEs in Nordea (VScode, Jetbrains products etc.). We are especially focused on developing a model for plug-ins
  • In this role you will be the owner and provider of Python in Nordea, which is growing rapidly. A key delivery will be a governance model for packages
  • You will also be the primary voice in several communities on topics related to developer tools, manage our vendor relations (together with supplier services) and manage budgets

 

The role can be based in Finland, Poland, or Sweden. We have a hybrid working model that ensure we get together in the office while also allowing for some flexibility.

 

Who you are

 

You can come from many backgrounds for this role. The key is being a visible and inspiring leader, that can help build good roadmaps and manage conflicts in priorities. We expect this to be a dynamic role that will lead the team through significant changes in how services are delivered.

 

Your experience and background:

  • Experience in leading and managing a team (preferably in IT/technology) or the willingness and motivation to become a leader
  • Experience in translating strategy into understandable and clear targets for the team
  • Experience in stakeholder management including talking to senior management
  • Experience in transformation projects or large projects is a plus
  • Knowledge of SecDevOps practices and developer tools like IDEs is a plus
  • Knowledge of QA engineering is a plus

 

This is an opportunity to help run a central team in CTO and deliver value across the bank.
