The Information Security Awareness Analyst will be responsible for the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s information security awareness program. They will ultimately reduce risk throughout the organization by ensuring employees, controls and trainees know and understand Information Security’s policies, as well as behave with a security mindset.

Your Main Responsibilities

The Information Security Awareness Analyst fulfills the following tasks.

Developing and implementing effective security awareness training campaigns

• Creating and monitoring Training Campaigns on a monthly basis for everyone in the company

• Creating and monitoring targeted Training Campaigns

• Developing and updating security awareness training programs tailored to the needs of the company and its staff members.

• Sending reminders to staff members and their managers to complete their training modules before the due date

• Developing and implementing effective security awareness phishing campaigns

• Creating and monitoring Phishing Campaigns (including dynamic and targeted phishing)

• Manage and engage with the community, fostering a sense of belonging and participation among team members.

• Take charge of event management, from strategic planning to seamless execution of internal events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Reviews and Iterates Security Awareness Campaigns

• Ensures security awareness trainings, communications, and marketing are engaging and influences changes in employees’ behavior

• Assesses effectiveness of each major campaign using a metrics framework and incorporates employee feedback

• Iterates and continuously improves upon existing awareness campaigns as appropriate.
   

Requirements

A successful Information Security Awareness Analyst will have the expertise and skills described below.
 

Education, Training and Previous Experience

The Information Security Awareness Analyst will be evaluated primarily upon their ability to demonstrate the competencies required to be successful in the role, as described above. For reference, the typical work experience and educational background of candidates in this role are as follows:

• BA or MA in Communications, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field (or relevant experience in these areas)

• Experience, preferably in similar roles and/or either Communications, Marketing, or related fields

• Familiarity with Security Concepts: Preferably possess familiarity with security-related fields or certifications, such as SANS SSAP, CISM, or awareness and culture change fields like Employee Engagement Communications or Prosci.

• Ability to speak French and English fluently

 

Technical and Business Experience

You will be evaluated based on your ability to perform the duties listed above while demonstrating the skills and competencies necessary to be highly effective in the role. These skills and competencies include:

• Basic knowledge and willingness to expand knowledge in the field of information security

• Excellent communication and facilitation skills with the ability to communicate complex issues in a clear and understandable way

• Highly developed conceptual skills

• Project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work packages and stakeholders simultaneously and prioritize accordingly

• Strong pro-active, hands-on attitude

• Highly motivated individual with the willingness to go the extra mile

• Preferably: An ability to create designs and infographics via design tools included in the Adobe Creative Suite.
