The Information Security Portfolio Lead will oversee and optimize the portfolio of initiatives, projects, and business management for the Information Security platform, ensuring alignment with our Cyber Resilience Strategy. This role involves partnering with the business to consult, assist, inquire, channel, liaise, and guide.

As a member of the CISO’s leadership team, you will support all Security Platform pillars to enhance the organization's security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet security requirements, drive efficiency, and deliver quality results on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, strategic thinking, financial acumen, project management skills, and a track record of building effective relationships.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a holistic view of all work within the Information Security platform to support proactive management and prioritization in alignment with organizational priorities.

  • Partnering with CISO, Project/Program Managers, BISO and the Information Security leadership team to deliver on the Cyber Resiliency Strategy and roadmap and in support of the overall corporate product strategy

  • Acting as an escalation point to help resolve issues on behalf of the CISO with project teams, leadership teams and external vendors and partners.

  • Identifying and mitigating platform-level risks, issues, and dependencies that may impact delivery, and proactively implement corrective actions as needed.

  • Leading the annual budgeting process on behalf of the CISO and partnering with the leadership team and Finance to manage monthly financial forecasts.

  • Maintaining oversight of portfolio-level resource capacity planning to ensure prioritization and allocation of work.

  • Providing direct support to any CISO-driven initiatives and act as a trusted strategic advisor to the CISO and leadership team.

  • Reporting on key performance indicators/metrics, milestones and security initiatives. Other reporting may include Board updates, Management Risk/Operating Committee updates.

  • Representing Information Security for Quarterly and Annual Integrated Planning processes.

  • Promote a culture of continuous security improvement across the organization.

You bring:

  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity. 

  • Post-graduate (degree, diploma, certifications) in Business Administration, Information Technology, Information Security or a related field; MBA considered an asset.

  • Proven leadership and/or consulting experience with a minimum of 10+ years of experience with strategic and complex programs and initiatives.

  • Exceptional impactful communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels in a matrixed organization.

  • Experience working with IT leaders and business executives.

  • Knowledge in several areas of information security (domain knowledge) and frameworks (ISO 27001. NIST, PC DSS) is an asset.

  • A strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and strategically.

  • Proactive problem-solving skills with a demonstrated track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Comfortable engaging in and/or leading critical conversations to assist the enterprise with decision-making.
