About the role

We’re looking for a Compliance Analyst to join our team and help us deliver our company mission by working directly with our Chief Information Security Officer to drive growth in this hands-on role at the UK's leading social impact start up. 

You’ll be

• Completing information security and privacy documentation for customers - responding to technical security questionnaires, privacy assessments, and follow up questions from customers.
• Maintaining our risk register - agreeing action plans with risk owners and following up to make sure our risk assessments are accurate.
• Owning vendor assessment - working with stakeholders across the company to identify new vendors, assess their role in the business and complete appropriate due diligence.
• Supporting sales and legal teams with questions related to our trust & safety practices - become a go to person in the business for handling queries related to information security, privacy, and compliance.
• Leading work to acquire new accreditations - as we grow we may need to comply with additional standards; you will have the opportunity to lead cross company pieces of work to develop policies and practices and engage with external audits.
• And more! This is a new function within the business, and as the company grows so will our remit.

You are

• Detail-oriented - we are externally audited and closely scrutinised by our customers. The person in this role needs to be able to spot and fix small mistakes and inconsistencies.
• Organised - capable of juggling multiple projects and priorities and keeping stakeholders informed.
• Technically-savvy - comfortable navigating dense technical questionnaires, and engaging with the details of how data flows across our tools and underlying product infrastructure.
• Self-motivated and proactive - when you see a problem you respond by looking for the solution.
• An excellent communicator and listener - you engage stakeholders, break down compliance nuances, and are an active listener.
• Humble, empathetic, hungry to make an impact.
• Excited about the possibilities of tech and AI to bring change.

Nice to haves

• Experience with risk management and compliance, specifically ensuring implementation of minimum viable controls.
• Certification in privacy - e.g., from International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) - is an added bonus.
• Project management capability - juggling multiple competing demands.
• Confidence in customer-facing situations.

1. 30 minute video call with a member of the Talent Team
2. A practical task, followed by a call with our Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Privacy and Compliance to talk through your findings  
3. 1/1 interviews with our Chief Information Security Officer and another member of the Leadership team
