Description

Markon is seeking an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support an Intelligence customer.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and maintain security plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity regulations.
• Provide ISSO expertise to assess security risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable frameworks (e.g., NIST, RMF, FISMA).
• Conduct security assessments, audits, and continuous monitoring to safeguard systems.
• Collaborate with system owners, ISSMs, and other stakeholders to maintain security authorization packages.
• Investigate and respond to security incidents, ensuring proper remediation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field.
• TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity and information system security.
• Experience supporting customer system security requirements.
• Hands-on expertise in reviewing and developing security plans and implementations.
• Industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, Security+).

Salary Range

USD $150,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.The Markon pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
