The Opportunity:

CACI is looking for an entry-intermediate level Cyber Security Analyst to support our DoD customer to implement an enterprise IT service delivery model that provides consistent, secure, high-quality, and cost-effective services to enable mission success and improve end user experience across the customer environment.  On this program, the Security Analyst will assist in delivering timely notification and response to a variety of Major Incidents and outages across the customer space, using a variety of tools.  

As a Security Analyst, you will be an integral part of the organization's team, responsible for monitoring and reporting on major incidents and outages. Operating within a 24/7 environment, you will collaborate with other EUMOC members and other professionals to maintain a strong defensive posture and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability client systems and networks.

This will be a 24/7 operation with a Panama Work Schedule in which each employee will work a 12-hour shift rotating days (6AM - 6PM).

Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor various sources of information, including news feeds, social media, and internal reports, to stay up-to-date on current events that may impact the organization's security posture.
  • Gather and analyze threat intelligence from various sources, including open-source intelligence, social media, and internal reports, to identify potential security threats and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the current security situation, including ongoing incidents, emerging threats, IAVAs, CVEs, and other potential vulnerabilities.
  • Share relevant information with the Command and Control team, including incident reports, threat intelligence, and situational awareness, to ensure that all team members are informed and aware of potential security risks.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management, to ensure that security-related information is shared and that efforts are coordinated to mitigate potential threats.
  • Develop and maintain security briefs, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, to provide EUMOC management with up-to-date information on current security events and potential threats.
  • Maintain security dashboards and other visualization tools to provide real-time information on security-related metrics, such as incident response times, threat detection rates, and vulnerability remediation progress.
  • Analyze security events, including incidents, breaches, and other security-related activities, to identify trends, patterns, and potential vulnerabilities, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and provide recommendations on how to mitigate potential security threats, including suggestions for improvements to security policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Communicate security-related information in a clear and concise manner, using various communication channels, such as email, phone, and in-person briefings.
  • Qualifications:

    Required: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field and 3+ years of relevant work experience (bachelor’s degree in related field may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience)
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, threat landscape, and attack vectors.
  • Familiarity with security tools and technologies MS Defender, SCOM, and more.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with other team members, management, and external stakeholders.
  • Position requires you have a DoD 8140 compliant certification such as CompTIA Security+
  • Experience or working knowledge of DOD, FISMA, NIST, etc.
  • Knowledge of industry compliance standards and relevant regulations is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work in an onsite 24/7 shift environment, including weekends and holidays. Schedule is based on assigned shifts days working days (6am-6pm).
  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to interact with clear and concise messaging to senior level corporate and government staff via in-person, phone, and email.
  • Ideal candidate must have experience using ServiceNow for task management, incident tracking, and process optimization.
  • Strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$66,100 - $135,600
