Position will be posted until filled.
BASIC FUNCTION:
The Senior IT Auditor is responsible for performing the prescribed tasks as outlined in the Association’s Audit Risk Assessment under the supervision of the Head of IT Audit. The Senior IT Auditor will provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services designed to add value and improve the organization’s operations related to governance, risk management, and control.
As a Sr. IT Auditor, you will lead the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of audits based on identified risks. You will conduct technical audits across the business. You will work with various business, IT, finance, risk management, and legal partners as you plan, execute, and report on the results of each internal audit. In this capacity, you will gain valuable exposure to many departments, processes, and systems within our business.
This position will require the ability to use sound professional judgement to champion for positive change within the Association’s environment. This position will need to understand or quickly grasp complex business processes and identify risks in multiple areas including, but not limited to, processes, regulatory compliance, governance, risk management, and technology. This fully remote opportunity will leverage and mature your technology skills, expand your technological knowledge, and provide you with evolving problem-solving opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Review operations and programs to determine if results are consistent with department goals and objectives.
- Prepare audit workpapers according to established department guidelines and industry standards.
- Provide assistance and guidance to the Association’s outside auditors to ensure timely and efficient completion of the audit.
- Assist the Head of IT Audit and other audit team members with special projects and assignments.
- Present audit findings or other relevant information to senior management and/or the audit committee on the effectiveness and adequacy of risk management, governance, and internal control procedures.
- Develop and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with company staff and management.
- Perform SOX-related testing.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
You should be comfortable interacting with technical software development engineers and business leaders, have a technical background and the ability to learn new technology concepts quickly. You should be able to translate technical risks into business issues. You should be able prioritize findings and recommendations and facilitate multiple stakeholders to agree on appropriate solutions and verify that risks are mitigated appropriately.
You must be comfortable performing as a sole contributor or teammate and coaching and training less experienced auditors. You must be an excellent writer who can succinctly communicate complicated technical issues in business terms. You must be a strong project manager who can conduct your own audits from beginning to end, often managing multiple projects at once.

LEVELS OF SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED:
Exercises no supervision, reports to the Head of IT Audit.
TYPICAL KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in computer information systems, cybersecurity, information technology, or applicable degree, and/or relevant comparable professional experience in lieu of degree is required. Maintains required continuing professional education and development requirements.
- Eight years’ experience in IT audit, IT security, information risk management, IT governance or other IT compliance-related work is required. Prior responsibilities should include assessing process risks, evaluating business processes including identifying and evaluating the control design and effectiveness, executing and documenting testing (this could be operational tests or audit work papers).
- Solid understanding of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., SOX, COBIT, ITIL, NIST, ISO, FFIEC, CIS) and best practices and methodologies to address these requirements is required. Ability to apply these requirements to organizational internal control frameworks is required.
- Ability to travel domestically is required.
- Broad technical or information security background is preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISA, CRISC, SSCP, CISSP, ITIL, Network+, A+, Security+) are preferred.
- Previous risk management experience (performing assessments, designing controls, managing enterprise control frameworks) is preferred.
- Previous experience with SQL, Alteryx, Power BI, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have the ability to perform basic office tasks and work in a typical office setting. Employee will be sitting for extended periods of time and accomplishing work at a desk and work at a computer for an extended period of time. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to adequately convey ideas and work well with a team. Ability to talk and hear, sit and use their hands and fingers, and reach in all directions is essential in performance of the job. Some lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds required. Work during established business hours and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Travel required in performance of job.
FULL-TIME REMOTE: These roles and job functions can be done remotely, while maintaining our strong commitment to customer service and our business goals. Employees are welcome to come to an office to work if needed, and some travel for team meetings will be required.PAY RANGE:
Minimum $94,660.63 - Max $160,923.07 AnnualThis range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
