The Impact you will have in this role:
Cyber Security & Technology Risk Management (CS&TRM) is responsible for setting strategic direction in the areas of IT Risk and Information Security. Maintains corporate security policies and control standards, acts as a second line of defense via a robust collection of risk and control assessments, reports to leadership and the Board on the status of the IT Risk and Information Security Programs, acts as an operational arm for monitoring threat intelligence, understanding when threats are being targeted against the firm, and responding to potential incidents, and serves as the main interface for Regulatory and Client reviews that focus on IT Risk and Information Security. Risk Security Awareness provides programs and services to help develop an employee culture that includes security as a forethought in their daily processes. This role provides subject matter expertise across the various fields around Technology Risk.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Knowledge of frameworks and regulations, including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework, Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC), and New York State Department of Financial Services (NYSDFS).
- Evaluate technology-related risks across applications, data, and third parties.
- Work with 1st and 2nd Line teams to integrate risk management into systems and process design
- Mitigates risk by following established procedures and supervising controls, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior.
- Implement, monitor, and perform periodic reviews and audits of control effectiveness
- Lead and contribute to special projects including program enhancements, resource coordination, and senior management presentations
- Develop, communicate and ensure adherence to department risk policies, procedures and standard processes
- Develop and strengthen relationships with business partners and risk control functions
- Develop and recommend strategies and tactical approaches that streamline activities and increase efficiency to eliminate bottlenecks as the scope of the area’s responsibilities expands
- Assist in establishing key performance indicators (KPI) to measure effectiveness of the program, report on metrics and provide recommendations for improvement
- Stay abreast of industry and market events that impact technology risk management processes
- Foster an environment of regulatory awareness and ensure regulatory compliance
- Conduct periodic assessments and surveys to gauge DTCC's security awareness level and recommend adjustments to the program
- Support and monitor ongoing staff education and development in effective risk management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
