The Company

Netcraft is the global leader in cybercrime detection and disruption. We’re a trusted partner for three of the four largest companies in the world, twelve of the fifty largest banks, and five country governments. We've blocked almost 200 million cyber-attacks to date, and we take down around 33% of the world's phishing attacks.

Our advanced technology is powered by intelligent automation and data gathered over the past three decades. But we’re about so much more than software. Our team of experts is ready to respond when something new or disruptive arises. With a deep and broad network across the internet infrastructure community, we’re able to expedite site takedowns and minimize harmful effects.

Our purpose, passion, and expertise are focused on one thing: protecting the world from cybercrime. Simple, and a great platform from which to support customers.

We carry that passion through into our workplace too. Our people are highly talented, and everyone is valued for their individual contribution, so we make sure Netcraft is a great place to work. From great benefits to social events, we’ve got it covered.

The Role

We're seeking a Cybercrime Analyst to join our amazing Technical Operations team. Cybercrime Analysts have an opportunity to make a real difference in the world by identifying threats and acting to protect governments, banks, and consumers from online attacks. You'll be a key part of the incident response team, finding innovative ways to rapidly disrupt cyber-attacks against our clients. Day to day, your responsibilities will include:

  • Cybercrime incident response – communicating analysis of cyber threats to relevant parties to mitigate attacks;
  • Classification of malicious websites, social media profiles, apps, emails, and phone numbers;
  • Providing clear and professional feedback to customers on incidents and classifications;
  • Sharing your ideas on how to improve processes and workflows.

Based at our Lehi office, but with hybrid flexibility, you’ll report directly to a Technical Operations Team Lead and will work closely with colleagues across our global offices.

To be successful, you’ll need

  • Attention to detail, adaptability, and strong intellectual and commercial curiosity;
  • A positive and solution-focused approach;
  • Interest in the internet and cybercrime prevention;
  • Excellent communication skills with a high standard of written English;
  • Ability to engage with people in a warm, helpful, and professional way;
  • Self-motivation, ability to take initiative, and work as part of a team;
  • Aptitude for analysing and using technical information;
  • Competence in handling incoming phone calls;
  • Some experience in cybersecurity is useful but not essential as full training will be provided;
  • A degree in a relevant area, such as Cyber Security, Computer Science or IT may be useful but isn't essential.

The reward package

  • Competitive base salary, reviewed annually;
  • 401(k) Safe Harbor Plan, with employer-matched contributions up to 4%;
  • Generous private health cover, including dental, optical and life assurance
  • 33 days holiday per annum (incl. public holidays), plus separate paid leave for sickness, etc;
  • Flexible and hybrid working options;
  • Enhanced family leave entitlements including 52 weeks maternity leave / adoption leave and 4 weeks paternity leave;
  • Inclusive culture and environment, where you’ll feel genuinely valued and respected.

Your standard working days will be Monday to Friday, 9AM-6PM. We may also require you to work weekend shifts and non-standard hours on occasion. This is because Netcraft protects its customers 24/7, 365, which we'll discuss with you at interview.
