Senior Software Engineer - Security

The Identity Public Key Infrastructure team (PKI) is seeking and experienced and passionate software engineer to join us as we create and deliver mission-critical features and services and to enable Entra and Azure to meet customer needs. Working with a creative and diverse team, you will collaborate to design, build, deploy, and run highly available and scalable services to meet customer needs in a competitive landscape.

Responsibilities

Leads by example in producing extensible and maintainable code - Drives efforts to integrate instrumentation for gathering telemetry data on system behavior - Reviews code to ensure quality, reliability, and adherence to best practices - Takes ownership as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) and guides other engineers - Drives efforts to ensure compliance with security, privacy, safety, and accessibility requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
