Job Title: MTAP - Lead Cybersecurity Architect
Position Overview:
The Lead Cybersecurity Architect at the P5 level is a senior role focused on designing, implementing, and maintaining cutting-edge endpoint security solutions to safeguard the organization's digital assets. This role specializes in protecting devices, user access points, and endpoint environments against emerging cyber threats. As a technical leader, the Endpoint Security Architect collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate endpoint security seamlessly across the enterprise, aligning with organizational and regulatory requirements. This position demands expertise in endpoint protection technologies, strategic vision, and a proactive approach to addressing endpoint-specific cybersecurity challenges.
Key Responsibilities
Endpoint Security Architecture Design
- Develop and lead the creation of comprehensive endpoint security architectures, aligning with industry standards and organizational goals.
- Provide detailed endpoint security design specifications, architectural diagrams, and deployment strategies.
- Continuously evaluate endpoint environments to identify vulnerabilities and ensure robust protection mechanisms.
Implementation and Integration
- Oversee the implementation and integration of endpoint security technologies, such as EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) and antivirus solutions, into the organization's IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with IT, desktop support, and other teams to ensure secure endpoint configurations.
- Validate the functionality and effectiveness of endpoint security controls through rigorous testing and optimization.
Endpoint Security Technology Evaluation
- Assess and recommend advanced endpoint security tools and platforms based on organizational needs and threat landscapes.
- Conduct proof-of-concept evaluations for new endpoint security solutions to ensure compatibility and effectiveness.
- Provide strategic recommendations for upgrading and enhancing existing endpoint security tools.
Incident Response and Threat Mitigation
- Act as a subject-matter expert during endpoint-specific security incidents and investigations.
- Lead efforts to mitigate endpoint-focused attacks such as malware, phishing, and ransomware.
- Develop and refine endpoint-focused incident response playbooks and procedures.
Compliance and Endpoint Governance
- Ensure that endpoint security designs comply with regulatory, organizational, and industry standards.
- Participate in endpoint-specific security audits, assessments, and remediation planning.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all endpoint security systems, designs, and processes.
Collaboration and Communication
- Serve as a bridge between endpoint security teams, IT operations, and senior leadership to align security goals.
- Present endpoint security strategies and updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Lead initiatives to embed endpoint security best practices into organizational processes and workflows.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Anticipate evolving endpoint threats and proactively develop innovative protection strategies.
- Stay abreast of emerging endpoint technologies and threat intelligence.
- Champion long-term endpoint security projects and ensure alignment with the organization's cybersecurity vision.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience
- 8–10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, with significant focus on endpoint security architecture.
- Proven expertise in designing and implementing enterprise-grade endpoint protection systems.
- Experience with endpoint security technologies such as EDR, endpoint encryption, vulnerability management tools, and endpoint hardening practices.
Technical Skills
- Deep understanding of endpoint security frameworks, principles, and technologies.
- Proficiency in endpoint security tools, such as SentinelOne, CrowdStrike, Carbon Black, Microsoft Defender, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of threat detection, malware analysis, and endpoint incident response techniques.
- Familiarity with integrating endpoint solutions in hybrid cloud environments.
Certifications
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or endpoint-specific certifications like CrowdStrike Certified Falcon Administrator or Microsoft Security certifications.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on endpoint protection challenges.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to diverse audiences.
