Foundever is seeking a Principal Network Architect to join our fast-paced, dynamic, and team-focused Global IT team. In this role, you will report to the Director of Global Network Services. The Principal Network Architect will define, design, and implement a highly resilient, scalable, and secure global network infrastructure. This position is responsible for establishing network strategy and delivering a roadmap for Foundever services. The role represents the highest level of technical subject matter expertise within the company and serves as a key point of contact for Foundever’s clients and business partners.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Design and implement Foundever’s global SD-WAN, WAN, LAN, VPN, and necessary monitoring tools: gather requirements, analyze specifications, perform cost analysis, validate options, create architectural designs, prepare configurations, and communicate network engineering plans.
- Manage capacity and availability planning for all network components, ensuring alignment with business growth and stability needs.
- Act as a technical leader to resolve challenges associated with new technical initiatives or programs.
- Maintain strong relationships with other architecture teams to align Foundevers strategy and maintain a collaborative direction for network evolution.
- Configure and deploy key network components, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, VPN appliances, and cloud-based networking tools.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including standardized network topology, equipment, and configurations.
- Mentor Operations staff on change management and documentation best practices.
- Collaborate with clients, application teams, project managers, and vendors to deliver robust network solutions.
- Provide troubleshooting and serve as a mentor for resolving complex network and application issues.
- Ensure robust network asset management, including lifecycle management for network components.
- Lead research and evaluation of emerging technologies, coordinating with senior leadership to align with Foundever’s strategic roadmap.
- Establish strong vendor relationships to validate and implement new solutions.
- Align network architecture with Foundever’s growth, compliance, and business continuity objectives.
Skills, abilities and knowledge
- Expertise in modern network technologies such as SD-WAN, cloud networking, and Zero Trust principles.
- Exceptional technical acumen in traditional network protocols (IPv6, BGP, OSPF, QoS, VLANs, etc.) and security technologies (firewalls, IPS, DMVPN).
- Demonstrated leadership in a global, high-availability environment with a focus on scalability and security.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budgeting, cost analysis, and P&L.
- Proven ability to create, present, and advocate for network strategies and business cases.
- Familiarity with ITIL processes and frameworks.
- Exceptional time management, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to excel under pressure in a rapidly evolving technological landscape.
Experience
- 7–10+ years of progressively complex experience in network architecture and design, including enterprise solutions and cloud-native networking.
- Proficiency in Cisco technologies and field experience.
- Experience with call center environments is highly advantageous.
- Experience working in ITIL-aligned organizations.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent field experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CCIE, CCNP, CISSP, or CCDE are required.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer) are a plus.
- ITIL Foundation certification is an advantage.

Salary Range
The base pay for this position in the United States is from $130,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience.
