Job Description

Key responsibilities & desired skills

1. Refer and follow scope of services and program for the project.
2. Attend the design team/client/ site meetings to support the Principal Engineer
3. Prepare calculations, schedules, drawings, and any other contract documents developed through the RIBA stages.
4. Liaise and correspond with the design team/contractor on day-to-day issues Ensure project risk register is completed and kept up to date.
5. Ensure all project variations are recorded.
6. Implement and adhere to project QA policy and CDM requirements Responsible for maintaining job filing system to company QA standard.
7. Co-ordination with architects / structural engineers / specialist sub-consultants

Able to work with minimum supervision on

• Knowledge of Concept design, schematic design, detailed design and IFC design stages of project.
• Space planning and co-ordination with different disciplines for incorporating required space into design.
• SMART City Engineering in line with SMART strategy and guidelines would be a plus.
• ICT system- Active Network, Server room infrastructure, Data center infrastructure, IDF rooms, MTR room, GSM rooms.
• Security system – CCTV, Access control, Intrusion detection, Intercom, gate barriers, Integrated security management systems.
• Telecommunications – ISP connectivity for fixed services, GSM services infrastructure.
• Structured cabling system – Backbone cabling horizontal cabling as per latest technologies and products.
• Audio visual systems – Auditoriums, meeting rooms, ballrooms, Background music, public address, iPTV, SMATV.Audio, video and control knowledge.
• Guest rom management system (GRMS) for hotels.
• Produce Design basis reports of design intent and present to client to take feedbacks.

Technical

• Good knowledge about spaces required for ELV systems in different types of projects.
• Produce drawing list/calculation index/specification list etc.
• Experience with SMART city engineering , UAE or KSA based projects.
• Involvement in developing the engineering design philosophies.
• Production of ELV building services drawings and calculations Good understanding of engineering design fundamentals.
• Awareness of ELV systems.
• Experience in Ekahau Wireless heat maps application..

• AutoCAD, Navisworks, Autodesk Revit knowledge to manage the team for production.
• Preparing reports and presentations – MS word , excel, PPT etc.

Management & Behavioral

• Financial awareness for project budget and time management to achieve deliverables,
• Demonstrate ability to take ownership of projects.
• Resource planning.
• Ability to supervise a small team of BIM engineers for production of design drawings.
• Ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and Client team to explain the prosed design and take the feedback for further stages and stage closure.
• Demonstrate compliance with company’s procedures, policies and operate within the company controls.
• Develop training modules, calculation procedures and other company tool development methods used in Design & Execution.

Qualifications

Qualification & Experience

BE / B. Tech – Electronics/telecom/Computer science Engineering with 2+ years’ experience.

Experience - India, UAE and KSA based projects and applicable local codes and guidelines.
