Overview

The Epic Security Analyst is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the security build within Epic. This position is responsible for system maintenance, analysis of workflow and access requirements based on assigned roles, implementation of design solutions, process documentation, auditing, and enforcing change control.

Responsibilities

  • Understand end-user provisioning and the Access and Identity Management procedures throughout the division.
  • Complete user access audits according to documented user access guides.
  • Create accurate access mappings for new roles, applications, and departments.
  • Utilize strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions promptly.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively, train, support, and work collaboratively with Epic users at all professional and technical levels.
  • Remain detail-oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on a deadline.
  • Employ strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
  • Complete tasks with proven organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Monitor team communication through various methods while responding to customer support issues correctly, efficiently, and professionally.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned
  • Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related subject matter with 5 years of relevant work experience or the equivalent required.
    • Organizational and communication skills are essential.
    • Project management skills, programming skills, and extensive knowledge of health care IT desired.
    • If applicable, equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered, and must be directly related to the functions and responsibilities of the job.
