The Role

Infrastructure Specialists at Kyndryl are project-based subject matter experts in all things infrastructure – good at providing analysis, documenting and diagramming work for hand-off, offering timely solutions, and generally “figuring it out.” This is a hands-on role where your feel for the interaction between a system and its environment will be invaluable to every one of your clients.

As a Cloud Security Engineer at Kyndryl, you will play a key role in specific project deliverables and will work on maintaining & improving the security posture of the environment. This is a full hands-on position that requires previous experience with cloud security tools and processes especially Cloudflare.

A day in this role:

• Provide expert engineering support on Cloudflare solutions.

• Manage and monitor Cloudflare console. Perform modifications that include (zone, DNS record, WAF, DDOS, redirect and transform rules, SSL and TLS changes.

• Onboard and implement web security best practices on websites with Cloudflare core solutions 

• Optimize, deliver and cache performance with Cloudflare Core solutions 

• Supporting the business in general cloud security compliance recommendations. 

• Supporting DevOps teams in development of products and services where required. 

• Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS or GCP.

• Proven experience in the implementation of CDN tools. 

• Should have experience with deployment and operation with Cloud WAF and Bot Management Technologies and protecting Web Applications. 

• Analyzing and developing WAF policies to optimize WAF Security on an enterprise scale. 

• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, Web Protocols and TLS Protocols.

Required Technical and Professional Experience

• 5+ years of in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cloudflare.

• Strong understanding of IT infrastructures (cloud, on-premises, containers, microservices).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• With bachelor's degree or master’s degree

• Relevant cloud and security certifications.
