Join our cutting-edge cyber security team within Grant Thornton. As a Technical Delivery Manager focused on Security Project Management within our client success team, you'll play a critical role in supporting and implementing our managed security services offerings. A look into the role


As a Technical Security Delivery Manager within our Cyber Defence Centre, you will:

  • Act as a primary technical liaison between the client and delivery teams.
  • Onboard new customers, ensuring they fully utilise the capabilities of our managed security services.
  • Translate complex technical issues into understandable business language for C-suite executives.
  • Participate in technical meetings to share best practices and new technologies.
  • Understand client needs around compliance and align them with our existing solutions – including creating and maintaining a governance, risk and compliance (GRC) knowledge base.
  • Participate in workshopping calls, capture the requirements, track and create project plans and ensure all agreed activities are delivered through to completion.
  • Understand and document audit-based requirements and solve questions and answers customers may have, ensuring any documentation to support the customer is present and delivered.
  • Work with various stakeholders to ensure projects are managed from inception to delivery.
  • Create and deliver onboarding and technical project plans, create efficiencies where possible and work with delivery teams to ensure their requirements are captured and the end customers are managed, reducing impact on delivery resources.
  • Ensure customers are informed of the project plan and communicated with reiteratively to ensure delivery teams are as productive as possible.
  • The main effort of the role is to manage customer onboarding, manage workshop projects and support clients through regulatory requirement statements (GRC). Including the creation of documentation, processes and project management of the entire lifecycle, with the collaboration and support of the wider customer success team.
  • Manage multiple security projects simultaneously, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Ensure the delivery teams are protected, and that customers are managed effectively. You will be expected to reduce the total number of requirements imposed upon technical resources by managing external customers and their expectations.

Joining us as a Technical Security Delivery Manager, the minimum criteria you’ll need is experience of working cyber security implementations and project management. It would be great if you had some of the following skills, but don’t worry if you don’t tick every box, we’ll help you develop along the way.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to present technical information in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong customer service skills and a collaborative attitude to work with multiple teams of varying skills and abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, flexible, ability to adjust, solve problems and work to varied levels of customer engagement.
  • Lead and manage delivery team/s to successfully within scope, on time, on budget and to expected standards.
  • Proficiency in project management and collaboration software and tool such as Jira/Confluence or similar.
  • Ability to apply and adjust project management principles to the role, whilst having no troubles adjusting to suit the developing roles requirements.
  • The drive to ensure that both our staff and customers are well looked after and supported and seeks the best possible outcomes.
  • You have a love for complex solutions and a spread of topics across the security space.
  • Understanding of Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and understanding of security principles and frameworks (e.g ISO27001, NIST etc).
  • Commercial awareness for the planning, and delivery of projects.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM or CCSP are desirable.
  • and at times of high demand.
