Join our team! As a Systems Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to research, architect, model, simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. You'll be developing complex system architectures within contextual modeling platforms, ushering them from operational concept through preliminary and detailed design, simulation, and test using progressive tools. As a cross-functional engineer, you are in charge of system-level ownership of new products and processes through the product lifecycle.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Its end-to-end Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance (C4ISR) capabilities encompass design, integration, test, certification, ground/flight training and complete logistics support. IAS tailors solutions to customer cost, performance, and schedule requirements and designs to consistently exceed expectations – with an unrivaled record of on time and on (or under) budget deliveries.

Responsibilities:

    • Mission Systems Development and Sustainment for new and existing Connectivity Programs  based on customer requirements, demonstration objectives, or emerging technology. 
    • Work closely with the Technical Lead, Chief Engineer, and Test team to track requirements through the program development cycles (Design, Develop, Test, Deployment)
    • Assist with Airworthiness and Cybersecurity Certification of Mission Systems. Perform SIL and on aircraft tasks for continuous monitoring and updating
    • Assist with design documentation- ICD’s, Architecture, User Manuals, etc.
    • Develop and Participate in Engineering Development Gates: PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.
    • Support corporate wide strategy, plans and documentation for all network & telecommunications systems
    • Work with OEMs/Vendors to clarify technical RFI’s relating to system characteristics and interfaces
    • An active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

    Qualifications You Must Have:

    • Bachelor's of Science degree in System Engineering or related discipline and typically 14 or more years of relevant experience
    • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
    • Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices
    • Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
    • Advanced understanding of requirements management, functional requirements parsing, derivation, and allocation; systems design, systems integration, technical risk identification and management strategies, and Verification and Validation (V&V) principles
    • Advanced Knowledge of the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) process for IATT and ATO cybersecurity certification/sustainment.
    • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required

    Qualifications We Prefer:

    • CISSP, Network+, Security+, and/or Certified Ethical Hacking Certification
    • Experience or certification in INCOSE standards
    • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
    • Progressive experience leading baseline definition and maturation in a complex development setting, including the use of high impact trade studies and other measures
    • Ability to establish and track key Technical Performance Measurements (TPM)

    This position requires current/active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance.
