Auria is looking to hire a Cyber Engineer (Patching & Group Policy) to support the Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC) program. Work location can be in either Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL.

 

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and future missile defense system capabilities.

 
Essential Functions:

  • Develop and test patches to fix Software, Hardware, and Firmware vulnerabilities
  • Install and configure Linux from the OS up to the application level
  • Document and verify of all installation and configuration steps for the labs
  • Develop test plans/procedures for software integration and unit testing
  • Collaborate with software developers and/or vendors as needed to help diagnose and identify the root cause of problems found during system integration
  • Submit problem reports for errors found per Agile processes and coordinate daily integration activities with other Agile Release Trains (ARTs)
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of Cyber Releases in the National Team labs, C2BMC Test Facility, and Operations
  • Installing and unit testing Cyber Products
  • Providing redlines to engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership as part of this position responsibilities
  • Document lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards in daily tasks

Basic Qualifications:

Please note your updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.

  • Current/active in-scope DoD issued SECRET security clearance, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience,
    • or a Master’s degree  and 3 years of experience, 
    • or a PhD and 1 years of experience,
    • or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree may be considered.
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE, CCNA – Security, CySA+, CND, etc) is required to start
  • Focus on vulnerability management including analysis and remediation of:
    • IAVMs
    • Cyber Tasking Orders (CTOs)
    • Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs)
    • Vendor Patches
    • STIG configurations
  • Must have experience configuring and patching Windows systems with Group Policy Objects (GPO)
  • Hands on experience scripting, installing, and testing GPOs on Windows hosts across Active Directory domains
  • Application experience with writing and deploying GPOs with Advanced Group Policy Management (AGPM)
  • In-depth understanding of GPOs for effective management of access control, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and improving overall network security
  • Technical trouble shooting of COTS software applications, data analytics of system vulnerabilities and mission impacts, and risk mitigation resulting in system authorization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Executing Agile tasks throughout a System Development Lifecycle
  • Hands on experience with industry standard Cybersecurity tools such as:
    • Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP)
    • NESSUS
    • Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and implementing NIST SP 800-53 Security Controls of Risk Management Framework (RMF) implementation across multiple phases of mission system

Salary Range:The salary offered will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications - skills, education & experience - and the position level ($99,000 - $113,000).
