Responsibilities & Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee daily operations, including monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair to ensure continuous operation of critical systems, while also maintaining detailed records of system downtime and equipment inventory to ensure accountability and support efficient operational decision-making.
• Administer and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, ensuring optimal network performance, security, and uptime. Manage network configurations, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement improvements as needed.
• Implement and manage security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols, to protect sensitive data and systems from cyber threats.
• Regularly monitor system performance, conduct routine audits, and perform necessary updates and patches to maintain system integrity and security.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous system availability.
• Develop and manage data backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to safeguard critical information and ensure business continuity.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations, procedures, and incident reports to support operational transparency and compliance requirements.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users, enhancing their understanding and effective use of IT systems and applications.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Active DoD Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility required.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+ Ce, CCNA Security, GSEC, SSCP
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-5 years of experience in network or system administration.
• Must be able to maintain necessary security clearances.
• Willingness to travel as required for meetings and training sessions.

WAGE INFORMATION

Target salary range: $81,000.00 - $88,000.00.  The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements.  The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
