It is an exciting time to join State Street Corporation (SSC) in the Enterprise Technology Risk Management (ETRM) organization. ETRM in its capacity as Second Line of Defense (SLOD) is responsible for leadership, oversight, monitoring, and advisement around the technologies, architecture, operational processes, security, and resiliency

Who we are looking for

As a representative of the ETRM group, you will be amid State Street’s multi-year technology transformation journey, regulatory requirements and technology risk assurance programs of various Business Units within State Street. The candidate will closely work with the global ETRM team leads and other cross functional teams such as First Line of Defense (FLoD), Technology divisions (Global Technology Services - GTS, Global Cybersecurity Services - GCS etc.) and Third Line of Defense (TLoD)

What you will be responsible for

As Vice President, ETRM you will

  • Lead and participate in technology risk assessments, control testing and validation activities
  • Build out technology risk assessment, control testing processes including the use of data analytics
  • Collaborate closely with global peers for infrastructure, network, and application security risk assessments
  • Stay updated on technology risks, changes in the regulatory environment pertaining to cyber and information security
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the technology organization
  • Work closely with leadership and executive stakeholders, providing status updates, managing timelines, and identifying risks
  • Participate as a voting / on-voting member of various steering committees, management working groups, promoting balanced discussions, and encouraging challenge and debate
  • Provide technical leadership, manage, mentor, and guide a team of Technology Risk Consultants, helping them grow professionally and achieve their individual and team goals
  • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and create professional development plans for team members; Drive team engagement, foster a collaborative culture, and ensure effective communication across the team
  • Play a key role in recruiting, onboarding, and developing new team members as the team grows

Primary Skills (Must Have)

  • Minimum 10 - 12 years of recent related work experience in risk management, cyber security, or technology-related governance
  • Audit or assurance experience working in the banking or financial services industry or other regulated industries
  • Experience in evaluating cyber and information security risks and the ability to develop and execute effective testing strategies with a good understanding of regulatory compliance requirements for the banking industry
  • Knowledge of Cyber and Cloud technologies and tools, Identity and Access Management, Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) technologies and Cyber Operations
  • Understanding of the MITRE Framework and adversarial methodologies
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and intergroup skills

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate in Computer Engineering (preferably BE / B TECH / MCA)
  • Minimum 18+ years of experience in information technology with 10 - 12 years of relevant experience in Cyber and Information Security, Cloud and Emerging Technologies
  • Experience with Microsoft Tools/Data Analytics/GRC tools/Jira is a plus
  • Proven ability to work effectively on global scale with all levels of management
  • Organized with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., OSCP, CCSP, CISSP, CRISC) are a plus
