Raytheon Industry 4.0 - Connected Factory Intelligence and Automation (CFI&A) has an immediate career-growth opportunity for an enthusiastic, highly motivated, and innovative Software Systems Engineer team member to join our Team. As a Connected Factory developer, you will be a key contributor to design, development, integration, testing and deployment of advanced IIoT / Industry 4.0 technologies based in Ignition. Additionally, this role will perform root cause corrective action (RCCA) for any hardware and software issues identified in the SDF&A products in the manufacturing factory while supporting data analytics and data visualization efforts. The role will work in close collaboration with digital factory engineering, chief engineers / architects, front end of the business, and SDF&A / factory leadership and will include all aspects of the product development lifecycle - planning, requirements, design, development, test, deployment, and sustainment.

What You Will Do

• Lead and execute projects involving Ignition application development.
• Contribute to IIoT continued growth and deployment by working with sensors, gateways, connectivity solutions, APIs, and data analytic platforms.
• Provide recommendations and execution on methods to connect manufacturing equipment to IIoT/OT layer network
• Set communication protocols and network configurations on network devices (EIP, Modbus/TCP, MQTT, etc).
• Contribute to major team projects as well as work with minimal oversight to solve complex problems supporting SDF&A Engineering Systems.
• Analyze and correlate large, complex data sets; support digital thread implementation; develop and execute analytics reports and visualization toolsets while ensuring data integrity.
• Expected to Travel 10% of the time.

Qualifications You Must Have  

• Typically requires Technical University degree in Engineering, Math or similar with 8+ years related experience, to include significant Ignition SCADA development using combination of tools such as: SQL, Python, C#/.NET, HTML5, JSON
• Experience with scripting and dashboarding
• Experience with Azure DevOps services framework
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance and who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.  U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience using industrial communication protocols such as Modbus/TCP, MQTT, EIP, SECS/GEM, etc.
• Experience with data analytics with skills that demonstrate ability to prepare, process, analyze, and visualize significant amounts of information from multiple data sources.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Ignition gold certification or willingness to achieve within first year
• Experience with Splunk!, PowerBI, GraphQL, Tableau, SQL Server, SAP, Eyelit, Windows Task Scheduler Automation, SQL Server job agent automation, SQL Server SSIS
• Experience with Industry 4.0 key concepts – connectivity, data collection, IIoT, systems integration, AI, machine learning, ISA-95, Pub/Sub.
• Strong communication, project management and collaboration skills; experience working across organization boundaries
• Experience building APIs and creating web applications
• Experience with big data and data mining
• Experience in distributed controls, cyber security, IT infrastructure integration or other related fields
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and familiarity with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)
• Understanding of automation systems (robots, vision systems, PLCs, etc.) deployment and integration

This position is an onsite role at the Tucson, AZ site

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
