Compliance Analyst (EMEA & APAC)
Position Summary:
The Compliance Analyst will play a key role in overseeing compliance programs across international operations, ensuring adherence to evolving regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and internal policies. This position will focus on compliance with international privacy laws (GDPR, UK GDPR, APAC privacy regulations), compliance frameworks, and risk management best practices.
The Compliance Analyst will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to conduct control testing, assess compliance risks, support audits, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of compliance programs across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducts compliance assessments to ensure business systems align with UK, EU, and APAC regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and internal policies.
- Monitors and implements compliance programs, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to regional regulations.
- Assists with privacy impact assessments (PIAs), records of processing activities (ROPA), and data subject rights (DSAR) requests.
- Supports compliance with cross-border data transfers.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders to address audit findings, remediate control deficiencies, and strengthen compliance measures.
- Serves as a liaison for external auditors and third-party compliance assessments.
- Supports external audits, vendor due diligence, and client RFP processes by identifying requirements, collecting data, and tracking compliance obligations.
- Assists in the implementation of internal compliance training programs tailored to regional compliance frameworks.
- Contributes to risk assessments and compliance monitoring efforts across business units and technology platforms.
- Provides recommendations to improve compliance initiatives and mitigate regulatory risks.
- Keeps up to date with emerging regulations and compliance trends in EMEA and APAC markets to advise internal teams accordingly.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Excellent analytical and research skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including an ability to concisely describe complex situations to business executives.
- Strong understanding of international compliance frameworks
- Experience conducting compliance assessments and supporting audits for privacy, security, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of working across global teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience drafting compliance documentation.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business, Compliance, Information Security, or related field (strongly preferred).
- 2+ years of professional experience in compliance, risk management, or audit functions.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to travel internationally (approximately 15%).
- Fluency in English is required
