ICT Cyber Security Analyst

You’re experienced in the ICT Cybersecurity Analyst space and have held the same or similar positions previously. The ICT Cybersecurity Analyst position is a crucial role in the ICT team, focusing on identifying, mitigating and responding to cybersecurity risks across the organisation's technology platforms and bringing a passion for innovation and improvement in cyber security.
In this role, you will be responsible for advising and implementing suitable controls, tools and platforms, as well as reporting on key metrics used to track and manage the cyber risks applicable in accordance with the organisation’s risk appetite and Enterprise Risk Framework.
Reporting directly to the General Manager ICT, you will be responsible for ensuring best practice security controls, providing expert guidance and recommendations to mitigate emerging cyber risks, and promoting effective cybersecurity practices for the organisation.
As the ICT Cybersecurity Analyst, you will be well versed in cyber security indicators and deeper analysis, the operation of SIEM tools, endpoint protection, next gen firewalls and the implication of controls aligned to established frameworks (including essential 8 and NIST). You will also support with the delivery of security awareness training, disaster recovery planning and reporting on cyber security indicators.
You’re an excellent communicator, self-starter and a team player. Your attention to detail is second to none, and you understand the importance of meeting deadlines and you are no stranger to building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

THE ESSENTIALS
The successful candidate will have:
- Minimum 3 years in a hands-on cybersecurity role, incident analysis and response, or similar experience.
- Experience in developing, implementing and managing Cybersecurity risk controls to mitigate risks associated with IT and OT.
- Proven Experience in Microsoft Entra/Azure and related IaaS/PaaS solutions; or alternative public clouds.
- Experience implementing, and maintaining SIEM, IPS and DLP tools
- National Criminal History Record Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think outside the box.
- While not essential, aged care or health care experience will be highly regarded.
