Senior Network Engineer

GCyber is seeking a Senior Network Engineer, to support a high profile DISA customer. As a Senior Network Engineer, you will maintain a large, complex networking infrastructure.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will:

• Act as a subject-matter expert in network routing, switching, and performance monitoring, providing troubleshooting support.
• Evaluate and recommend improvements for system additions, infrastructure decisions, and cloud solutions based on business strategy.
• Provide guidance and leadership to IT staff, including managing incident resolution and ensuring hardware/software compatibility.
• Deploy, maintain, and monitor network hardware, services, and settings, ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with security teams and develop automation solutions to enhance system performance, security, and migration tasks.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

• Active DoD Secret security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of primary role operating, troubleshooting, installing network routers and switches
• 5+ years primary role designing, architecting routed and switched networks
• 2+ years as senior or lead engineer in planning, designing, and building software defined networks.
• 3+ years of working in a DoD environment
• IAT level III certification (i.e., CASP+, CCNP – Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, GCIH)
• One nationally recognized network certification
