We are seeking a leader with hands on experience looking to take the next step into management by leading a small team.   Our Security Research team is looking for a Software Engineering Manager who is passionate about both technical leadership and hands-on development. You will be mentoring and guiding a team of talented developers in a constantly growing environment, while also taking ownership of architectural decisions that shape the future of our infrastructure. Your hands-on contributions will be an essential part of mentoring—guiding the team through complex problem-solving and ensuring technical excellence.   While coding is not your primary responsibility, you should be comfortable stepping in when necessary to unblock challenges, support key initiatives, and set high engineering standards. You will also be collaborating with other teams to ensure seamless integration of security infrastructure across Nozomi's product ecosystem.   If you're an Engineering Manager who enjoys making a strategic impact through leadership, architectural decisions, and lead by example, this could be the perfect next step for you.   In this role you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Support career growth and professional development for team members through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
• Own and drive architectural decisions, ensuring scalable and efficient cloud infrastructure.
• Stay hands-on when needed, contributing to key technical projects, performing code reviews, and guiding development best practices.
• Collaborate cross-functionally, ensuring seamless integration of security infrastructure with Nozomi's core products and working closely with other teams.
• Champion best practices in software development, security, and observability.
• Hire and scale the team, identifying top talent to support ongoing growth.

To be successful in this opportunity, you will need:

• People Management & Collaboration: Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a technical team, with strong people management skills and a talent for coordinating cross-team projects.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Python and Go, with experience managing cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Monitoring and Data Visualization: Familiarity with observability and performance monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, Loki) to ensure operational insights and system reliability.
• Agile Methodologies: Practical experience with Agile practices, with a proven ability to apply them effectively in security-focused projects.
• Confidentiality & Data Privacy: Ability to operate in environments requiring strict confidentiality and data protection protocols.
