Network Security Engineer

Requirements

Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in network segmentation, firewall configuration, endpoint security, and zero trust frameworks. They will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring secure environments across production, development, and QA systems. This position is ideal for a security expert who thrives on problem-solving, innovation, and protecting digital environments from emerging threats



Key Responsibilities:

  • Firewall Configuration: Configure and manage firewalls, primarily Palo Alto, but experience with other firewall solutions is also valued.
  • Endpoint Security: Implement and maintain security measures for both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Zero Trust Framework: Apply zero trust principles and tools to enhance security measures (experience in this area is preferred but not required on the resume).
  • IP Tables/IP Chains: Proficient use of IP Tables and IP Chains for Linux-based security configurations.
  • Environment Security: Secure production, development, and QA environments while collaborating with software developers.
  • Network Segmentation: Design and implement network segmentation strategies to isolate vulnerabilities and minimize security risks.
  • Risk Assessment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess security risks and implement tailored mitigation strategies.
  • Incident Response: Work with the incident response team to isolate affected systems and mitigate threats effectively.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Clearly communicate security concepts to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with emerging security technologies, industry trends, and best practices to improve network segmentation and isolation strategies


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network security, or vulnerability management.
  • Hands-on experience with network segmentation, firewall configurations, and isolation techniques.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively collaborate with teams across different countries.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills with a proactive approach to security challenges.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar are highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Zero Trust security models and tools.
  • Knowledge of IP Tables/IP Chains for Linux security configurations.
  • Previous experience in securing multi-environment infrastructures (Production, Dev, QA).
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to create innovative security solutions.
