The Defense Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Chief Space Cyber Architect in our Huntsville, Al. office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the Threat and Cyber System Division within the Aerospace Systems Business area.  Leidos is seeking a motivated individual to help architect, design, and provide technical leadership and vision for companywide strategic efforts at the intersection of the space and cyber domains for the defense and intelligence communities. 

This is an outstanding opportunity to lead development of Cyber solutions for the diverse Threat and Cyber Division customer set. The role requires a strategic approach to identifying and pursuing new technology, business opportunities, interfacing with customers, and working across the business area and sector. A successful candidate will have a current TS/SCI and a strong understanding the cyber domain and offensive and defensive operations; Non-Kinetic Defeat; Red and Blue Teaming; Electronic Warfare; and System Resiliency.  

Primary Responsibilities

  • Expand and manage the technical direction for our internal research and development efforts regarding our defensive strategy for space system cyber resilience, multi-domain offensive operations support, Intelligence activities, threat mitigation and domain dominance. 

  • Resolve highly complex problems faced by developing solutions that are innovative, and achieved through research and integration of best practices and leading technologies.

  • The Senior Chief Cyber Architect is directly responsible for the development and management of the Division Cyber Mission Road Map; Technology Road Map; and identification of associated business cases.  

  • The position requires a high degree of responsibility; outstanding communication skills; significant and lasting customer affinity; the ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize against goals and objectives; discernment to manage Division Cyber Strategy against the Business Area and Sector Strategies; and extensive understanding of DoD Cyber mission.  

  • In addition, wide-ranging industry relationships, understanding of the existing cyber programs and mastery of various facets of the customer mission are critical to this position.      

  • Will be responsible for expanding our current customer base within the Threat and Cyber community and expanding the suite of contract vehicles available to us. 

  • Work with a team of researchers within Leidos across a range of technology areas; identify synergies and collaborations with other Leidos research and development efforts. Additionally, candidate will help manage available IRAD, CAPEX and other internal Cyber related investment funds. 

 

Basic Qualifications 

  • Master’s Degree in computer science, information systems or applicable engineering field and 20+ years of experience in cybersecurity or cyber related fields 

  • Minimum ten (7) years of experience performing cyber domain activities for space systems  
    Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the offensive cybersecurity or CNO related industries 

  • Experience operating and securing space system architectures, software, hardware 

  • Experience analyzing, assessing and threat mitigation for multi-domain attack surface  

  • Experience performing open source research & vulnerability analysis 

  • US Citizen with TS/SCI and Polygraph Clearance 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Deep understanding of DoD/IC Customers that have authority to conduct space operations. 

  • Demonstrated ability as lead solutions architect in the cybersecurity, cyber operations or cyber products arenas 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver technical findings, briefings, technical presentations, and program documentation to others

Pay Range:

Pay Range $148,850.00 - $269,075.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
