Job Description:

Parsons is seeking a talented Senior System Security Engineer to join our growing team!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing cyber engineering expertise to determine security requirements by evaluating best practices, researching security standards/tools, conducting system security and vulnerability analyses, and performing risk assessments to identify integration issues.
• Developing and directing secure architecture techniques; answering technical and procedural questions from team members; recommending improved processes; mentoring junior team members.
• Influencing system requirements and design processes to incorporate the identification of cyber requirements early in these processes.
• Suggesting architecture solutions to systems that support both the functional requirements and the cybersecurity requirements.
• Identifying poor cyber designs in systems and offering alternative designs.
• Building and maintaining cybersecurity system components (installing/patching, configuring, implementing, operating, and sustaining) control-based solutions in product team environments.
• Developing and maintaining procedures to validate product function and performance after applying security-related patches and updates.
• Preparing, maintaining, and updating system security plans.
• Assisting in creating the initial security control baseline, identifying common and hybrid controls, applying overlays, and tailoring them.
• Performing configuration scanning to validate system configurations.
• Preparing, maintaining, and updating security control policies and procedures, and assisting in the creation of select policies and procedures as required.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Active Secret Clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, Systems, Electrical, Information Technology Engineering, or a related technical field
• 8+ years of related experience
• CompTIA Sec+
• Experience with Program Protection Implementation, including leading the implementation of Program Protection, supporting Supply Chain Risk Management efforts, critical system function protections, and Software Assurance processes

What Desired Skills You Might Bring:

• Cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA CASP+, CISSP, OSCP, CISM, CEH, GSEC

Salary Range: 

$104,200.00 - $182,400.00
