The Lead Product Security Software Engineer position requires programming experience at the infrastructure and Board Support Package (BSP) levels. Top candidates understand the entire software stack and are comfortable modifying code from the OS (Linux) level, up to the application levels, especially in the new containerized software approach that the F-15 Int’l programs are adopting.
This component software engineer will coordinate with external component engineers in solving integration issues that sometimes include making firmware changes to delivered vendor code. Top candidates for this role understand all aspects of the component security features and how to integrate them into a mission processor suite along with all aspects of programming and maintaining the part across several programs. Work products generated in this role will include software for demonstration and production, deliverable documentation, and integration/configuration guidance in the form of program requirements and/or best practices.
This is a senior software technical lead position and involves planning and implementing the required software development capabilities, with the growth potential to become a component SME across the entire AT Capability.

Position Responsibilities:
- Oversees the development, implementation, and sustainment of product security and resiliency throughout the requirements, design, build, test, production, operations, and support lifecycle.
- Oversees the development and enhancement of system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements.
- Ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support.
- Oversees the definition and identification of product security requirements for suppliers of components and subsystems for integration into the most complex Boeing products and services.
- Consults with enterprise senior leadership on complex product security technical recommendations, solutions, risks, and opportunities as applied to the security domain with consideration of impact or leverage across other critical engineering disciplines.
- Oversees coordination with governments, customers, suppliers, and industry at the most senior levels to identify risks and improve industry and regulatory security standards and requirements for programs and interfacing systems.
- Defines complex research and development activities resulting in innovative solutions.
- Oversees the advisement of customers on maintaining product security and certification, including security consequences of modifying products and services.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 14+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelor’s OR 12+ years of work-related experience with a Master’s OR 9+ years of work-related experience with a PhD.
- 9+ years of experience in software engineering/development
- Full-stack experience
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in computer science or computer engineering
- Product security experience
- Experience in the aerospace and/or defense industries
- Higher order language coding experience
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
