Enterprise Systems Engineer, Mid

As a systems engineer on our team, you have the chance to design enterprise cloud-based systems in support of the Navy. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize the enterprise hosting environment. You’ll develop your skills in AWS cloud hosting while gaining experience in Navy workloads. You Have: 

  • 3+ years of experience as an IT professional, overseeing the creation of hybrid software, web, and virtual or physical hardware products from initial specifications to final rollout and maintenance

  • 1+ year of experience in support of systems engineering or systems administration within an enterprise hosting environment in the cloud, in support of multiple interconnected systems and enterprise managed services

  • Experience in software architecture and in hosting of applications integrating various network operating systems, application programs, and virtual or physical hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing, and maintenance support

  • Secret clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP), or Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) Certification

  • Vendor Specific Certification, including Microsoft Certification, Red Hat Certification, Cisco Certified Network Professional, AWS Architect, or Certified Scrum Developer Certification

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with AWS Solutions Architecting, including RDS, EC2, EBS, S3, IAM, Security Hub, or CloudFormation

  • Experience Migrating On-Premise applications to the cloud

  • Experience with DoD or Navy Systems, including STIGs and compliance requirements

  • Experience with managing a Windows Domain, including AD, F5, or Group Policy

  • Experience managing RHEL with Configuration Management tools, including Puppet

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
