About the role
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer Threatened Species to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.
As Project Officer you will manage, coordinate, implement and evaluate diverse and complex projects, ensuring completion within required deadlines and achieve quality standards. You will be required to consult with stakeholders and apply their input into complex projects.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Project Officer with excellent project management, data management, field experience and spatial data skills. As Project Officer you will be experienced in undertaking monitoring and research programs, and capable of data analysis to identify trends and emerging issues.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience developing and implementing a multi-stakeholder threatened species management project or program.
- Demonstrated competency in data analysis and use of information systems including working knowledge of GIS, databases and statistical applications.
- Demonstrated experience in operational works relevant to the role, and ability to supervise and carry out all duties safely in accordance with WHS requirements.
- Current Australian Class C Driver’s licence or equivalent and willingness to obtain a 4WD operation certificate.
