(CS) Information Systems Security Engineer Level 1-3 (TS/SCI w/Poly)

Position Summary:  

​​​​​​Kenjya-Trusant has an opening for an Information Systems Security Engineer Level I to support our government customer in the Annapolis Junction, MD area.  

Essential Job Function:

• The Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) shall perform, or review, technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies. 
• Perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify points of vulnerability, non-compliance with established Information Assurance (IA) standards and regulations, and recommend mitigation strategies
• Manually review network diagrams, network device configuration, termination points for VPNs. 
• Maintain flexible and non-flexible traditional Risk Management Framework (RMF) review of unclassified/classified networks to assess and prescribe countermeasures for secure communications.
• Support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process using applicable tools.

Required Capabilities:

• Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access, U.S. Citizenship is required
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• Level 3
  • Twenty (20) years' experience as an ISSE on in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information System Security Engineering, or related discipline may be substituted for two (2) years of experience, reducing the requirement to eighteen (18) years of experience.
  • Both Information Systems Security Engineering Professional (ISSEP) and CISSP Certifications are required.
• Level 2 
  • Fourteen (14) years' experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Four (4) years of additional ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • DoD 8570.01-M compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required - CISSP Certification is required.
• Level 1
  • Seven (7) years' experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Four (4) years of ISSE experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2 is required
• Required Security Clearance: TS/SCI w/ FS Poly.
• Required Certification: DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE Level 2

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for these positions is:
Level 1: $150,000.00 - $180,000.00.
Level 2: $180,000.00 - $214,000.00.
Level 3: $220,000.00 - $274,000.00
