Exciting Opportunity: Cloud Security Developer 

We're looking for a talented developer to join our Cloud Security team at Nasdaq-Verafin. You will have the opportunity to work on various challenges and play a key role in protecting Nasdaq-Verafin's cloud environment from security threats. What You'll Do: 

• Design, implement, and deploy cloud solutions to address organization-wide security utilizing tools such as Service Control Policies (SCPs), Resource Control Policies (RCPs), and Identity and Access Management (IAM) strategies 

• Provide AWS cloud security guidance to internal teams to implement technical controls and mitigations for enterprise level applications and systems  

• Continuously stay up to date with emerging AWS cloud security controls to introduce to the environment  

What We're Looking For: 

• University degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 

• 3-5 years of cloud security experience. 

• Self-motivated and committed to continuous learning  

• Proven experience in designing and implementing cybersecurity solutions within a multi-account AWS architecture for large organizations. 

• Solid, practical understanding of identity, data, and network boundaries in a cloud environment. 

• Excellent ability to effectively communicate complex security concepts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Proficiency in Terraform, Java, Python, and/or Bash would be an asset 

• Certifications such as CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, and AWS Security Specialty would be an asset  

What Success Looks Like: 

• Design and deploy robust cloud security solutions, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. 

• Provide clear AWS cloud security guidance to internal teams, fostering strong collaboration and integrating security into all application lifecycle stages. 

• Communicate complex security concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, enhancing the security knowledge of internal teams

This position can be located in St. John’s or Toronto, and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment (2 days a week in office), providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
