About the Position:
In this customer focussed Sales Engineering (SE) role you will, as part of the Juniper sales team, play an important role in driving the technical sales activities for a selected set of our Tier 2 Service Provider customers in Israel, Cyprus and Greece.
Juniper Sales Engineers have a deep technical knowledge, including strong hands-on experience with Juniper's products + services as well as good insights into competitor's products and solutions. The SE serves as the technical expertise for the regional sales efforts, creating and proposing solutions - with the full range of Juniper products and solutions at your disposal - that fits the customer’s requirements and addresses the customer’s needs.
For this role the ideal candidate comes with solid experience in working with Service Provider networks, have a knowledge of Juniper’s products and solutions as well as competitor’s products and services. Equally important is the ability to develop trusted and long-lasting relationships with our key customer technical decision makers through an in-depth understanding of the customer’s needs, priorities, organizational structure, and decision process.
Beyond the classical networking and network product know-how, the topics of virtualization and automation are becoming an important criteria in many customer tenders and discussions. Therefore, Sales Engineers should be able to lead the discussion also in this area with presentations, demos, etc.
You will be part of a great local team with lots of interaction with the SE peers, Account Managers, and other parts of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the technical sales activities which includes working closely with the customers to fully understand customer requirements, and from there:
- Propose solutions, guide customers on how Juniper products and solutions can solve the customer challenges and addressing their business needs.
- Lead the technical responses for RFP/RFQ and build BoMs for relevant sales opportunities. Capture new customer or industry requirements and trends and feed this into the business units.
- Engage and influence customer technology strategies through showcasing Juniper innovative technologies through technical sales presentations, whiteboarding sessions, customer technology events, product demonstrations and evaluations and proof of concepts.
- Build, develop, and maintain strong, trusted, professional relationships with customer technical decision-makers and partner community.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Native Israeli language
- For this role the ideal candidate comes with strong experience in working with Service Provider networks in a technical/pre-sales role as a Sales/Systems Engineer and/or Network architecture roles
- Expert level knowledge in Routing technologies, routing protocols including MPLS, SR etc is a MUST, as well as experience in some of the following areas: Automation, Cloud/DC, Security, Network Virtualization.
- Knowledge and/or strong interest in network automation and network virtualization is desired.
- Knowledge in automation using e.g. Python, Ansible, Netconf YANG, JSON, Openconfig etc is desirable.
- Knowledge in Service Provider security is a plus.
- Good understanding of Service Provider market trends and emerging use cases.
- Knowledge of Juniper’s products and solutions is desirable.
- Knowledge of Juniper competitor's products and services
- The candidate must have strong written, oral and communication/presentation skills with the ability to discuss highly technical concepts to a variety of audiences including all levels of technical decision-makers.
- Like working with people, discussing and explaining complex details in an easy-to-understand way.
- Positive attitude, a desire to learn new technologies and the ability to handle interruptions in a challenging and high pace environment.
- Ability to keep many plates spinning in parallel and work well under pressure.
- Be self-motivated and a strong Team player while being able to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Industry certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIE and/or CISSP, CCIE certificates are beneficial.
- Proven technical capability, ability to learn quickly, and apply skills in new areas as well as being able to explain complex matters in a structured and easy to understand way.
- Bachelor's and/or master’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, and related field or equivalent experience.
