Position Overview:
ANSER is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst to support a large-scale Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO) program supporting Information Enterprise (IE) and Security Access Programs (SAP). In this role you will provide cybersecurity subject matter expertise to support and provide guidance on a broad scope technical implementation.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and knowledge of best practices for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating information technology security assessment, monitoring, detection and remediation tools and procedures.
- Review security design documentation to ensure it meets comprehensive security requirements and compliance with DoD and federal regulations and guidelines.
- Perform independent cyber validation and verification of program provided RMF documentation.
- Review live system demos to provide guidance to Information Systems Security Manager and other stakeholders.
- Design, develop, implement, and recommend cybersecurity control solutions to ensure protection of information and systems.
- Establish and satisfy complex enterprise-wide cybersecurity requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
- Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities of networks, systems, applications, and new technology initiatives and recommends mitigation measures.
- Provide expertise regarding government and commercial common user systems and dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized cybersecurity features and procedures such as command and control-related networks.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of strategy, doctrine, standards, policies, and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a cybersecurity related discipline, or any bachelor’s degree and cyber related certification of CISSP or higher.
- 10+ years’ progressive experience with information technology and cybersecurity.
- Active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) information management and technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of DoD Information Enterprise and Special Access Programs.
- Cybersecurity certifications such as CISM or Security+
